Piaggio Aero Industries S.p.A. is a world leader in aircraft design and maintenance and in the construction of aeronautical engines and structural components. In 1998, a group of businesspeople, headed by engineer Piero Ferrari, vice president of Ferrari S.p.A., took over the company that now bears this name. This acquisition also led to the establishment of an important partnership with the prestigious Maranello car maker. In mid-2013, production at Finale Ligure was moved to Villanova DAlbenga, where the parts and sub-assemblies are manufactured for the companys leading product, the P.180 Avanti II aircraft. The Villanova DAlbenga facilities have been equipped with 3,736 metres of Duck Strip radiant heating strips, high-wall and Cassette fan coils, and InoxSabiana 50 flues.
